A hungry child can’t properly focus on learning until that basic physical need is met. When you take into account the relatively high number of impoverished children in our school systems, it’s no wonder why Oklahoma ranks so low.

Through our work with local churches and other faith-based entities, we provide snacks, beverages, school supplies, and other items to students, faculty and families of Title I public schools. The Kaleo Foundation is redefining the impossible.

Changed Women’s Ministry in Edmond, OK https://thekaleofoundation.org/2017/05/03/changed-womens-ministry-in-edmond-ok/ https://thekaleofoundation.org/2017/05/03/changed-womens-ministry-in-edmond-ok/#respond Wed, 03 May 2017 18:21:00 +0000 https://kaleofdn.wpenginepowered.com/?p=1198 With the items received through Kaleo, we reached out to multiple people.  To senior citizens, widows, single moms, low-income daycares, and foster families.  The range was: a single mom of four living in a two-bedroom apartment with a child who has severe M.S.; A single mom of four who is a police officer; a single mom of 3, living in a small home who is assisting another single mom of four by allowing her to stay in the home with them; Seniors who were delighted to know that someone cared enough to share with them; Virtually every single family knew of someone else they wanted to share the items they had received with.  The blessing never stops when items are given in Love!

Everyone here in a paid position came through the program at some point and has been able to stay sober and is moving their life forward.  There is always so much to do, so many people who live around here and don’t have homes who lean on us to be able to eat during the day. There are so many needs…especially, hygiene products.  We appreciate anything and everything you provide us.

Supporting Oklahoma First Responders https://thekaleofoundation.org/2017/02/25/supporting-oklahoma-first-responders/ https://thekaleofoundation.org/2017/02/25/supporting-oklahoma-first-responders/#respond Sat, 25 Feb 2017 18:23:00 +0000 https://kaleofdn.wpenginepowered.com/?p=1201 We want to “Thank You”, Kaleo Foundation for so generously supporting our outreach to the First Responders in Oklahoma. We have been blessed to share water, sparkling water, Propel water, popcorn, a variety of candy, granola bars, cookies, chips and plates, cups, etc. By the Kaleo Foundation providing these items it has made it possible for us to make larger donations.  We provided lunch to 160 Fire Fighters on their green, red, blue teams as well as the office staff and volunteers during the month of May.

We also delivered water and Propel which Kaleo so generously supplied, to the Edmond Fire Department this month.

God has placed a desire in our hearts to honor all first responders, providing a meal and freely sharing our books with them.  The Kaleo Foundation has helped make our dream a reality!
